Green Bay Attractions

One great thing about living in this area is how many Green Bay attractions there are! There seems to be something going on all the time. Many are free or very inexpensive. A lot are great for the entire family.

There are so many fun Green Bay Attractions. If you are looking for outside activities or something to do inside; in the winter or the summer; by yourself or with your family, you will find some great ideas here. There is something for everyone.

Since we moved here, we have been able to see many wonderful Green Bay attractions. Here are some of our favorites and some we can’t wait to visit.

Green Bay Attractions for the Entire Family

One of the first places we visited (and one of our favorites) is the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary. The first great thing about this wildlife refuge is that it is free! It is also open all year long. It is a great way to learn about the wildlife in Wisconsin. There are many hiking trails, animals and plenty of geese and ducks. The sanctuary also has a lot of planned events throughout the year. This old-fashioned amusement park is open in the summer and has affordable entertainment for the entire family. It has many fun rides and concession stands.

This is definitely one of our favorite places to go. There are over 47 acres of beautiful gardens and it is open all year long. Each season looks different with many varieties of plants and flowers. The NEW Zoo (Northeast Wisconsin Zoo) is a great zoo because it is just the right size. It isn’t too big but still has plenty of animals to see. It is also quite inexpensive. The NEW Zoo is open all year long and has a lot of specials throughout the year. Here is more information on the NEW Zoo.

This museum is very popular. It is open all year long and has many exhibits, programs and special events about the American railroad. There are train rides available certain times of the year.

Sporting Events

The Green Bay Gamblers is Green Bay’s hockey team and they play their games in the Resch Center. The ticket prices are really reasonable and it is fun to go to a live hockey game.

The Green Bay Blizzard is Green Bay’s arena football team. They play their games in the Resch Center also. Their season runs from about March through July. Here is more information on the Green Bay Blizzard.

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Fighting Phoenix has an exciting NCAA Division I basketball team. They play their games at the Resch Center and many people come to enjoy these games.

The Resch Center has many concerts and sports events throughout the year. It is amazing how they can transform the center to show ice shows and hockey games as well as arena football, basketball and rock concerts.

Lambeau Field is open all year long and offers stadium tours. These tours are great for learning the history of Lambeau Field and seeing the Packers facilities. Many visitors from around the country and the world enjoy seeing Lambeau Field. Even if you have lived here your whole life, it is a fun family outing.

The Atrium is located in Lambeau Field and has great places to eat, the Packers Pro Shop and the Packers Hall of Fame. It is open all year and is a fun place to go with your family or on a date. Click here for more information on the Lambeau Field Atrium

Gambling Fun

This Green Bay Casino has bingo, craps, blackjack, roulette, poker and more. Many big name entertainers perform at the Oneida Casino. Here is more information on the Oneida Casino.

Shop ‘till you Drop

Bay Park Square is Green Bay’s Mall. We love this mall because it isn’t too big but still has everything we need. There are plenty of stores for our teenage daughter as well as many eateries and other stores for the whole family. Click here for more information on Bay Park Square.
